1.) Can you tell us a little about your company? What is new or what services you have right now in the grooming industry?

Spunky Puppies is Newcastle’s Premier Pet Grooming Salon, Grooming all breeds of Dogs, Grooming Cats and Rabbits. Spunky Puppies Does All cuts from Pet Grooms To Show Grooms. We love creative dying turning Maltese and Bichons into amazing panda dogs and larger dogs into Tigers or Zebras. We can put a splash of color anywhere on your furbaby, dying tails, ears, putting hearts on bottoms and spot all over. We love your pet as much as you do. Spunky Puppies has all the latest dryers and grooming tools as well as staff that are always bettering their skills through competing and training.

2.) From your experience, what type of customers searches for your services? Who is your ideal/typical customer?

We love customers that care for their pets as much as their children. We find our customers are those that price is not the first thing on their mind. Our customers find comfort in knowing that our staff a very well trained and that they love doing what they do. Our salon uses only premium shampoos and products. Most people are happy to pay for a job well done. We will not charge you if you are not happy with our service. Our customers return again and again and are more than happy to refer their friends and family.

3.) What do you love the most of your business, what is the best part of your type of work?

We love working with animals that have owners that really care about their welfare and comfort of their pets. We always ensure an animal does not get stressed or feel threatened wilst in our care. We love to see the people picking up their pets and leaving completely satisfied with the service and care taken of their pet. We always provide a premium service at a price that most people are happy to pay.

Basic Wash and Dry Service

This service includes a full hydro-bath wash, using our specialty shampoos and conditioners, and a full blow dry with our high speed professional coat drying system. The dogs coat is fully brushed out, during the drying process, to give your dog a beautiful show finish.

** Note , Dogs who present with a badly matted coat may not be able to use this wash service. Bad knots simply do not “wash out” and our high velocity dryers and combs will not work properly. Your groomer will advise if a clip may be necessary before washing **

Deshedding Service
Brushing out using a Specialised Deshedding Tool. This reduces shedding by up to 90% and leaves the coat healthier and free to breath. Recommended for both long and short haired dogs and cats.
This services is charged at $30 per half hour. *
*Wash and dry required prior to Deshedding

5.) An average day for you would involve…….

Picking up 10-15 happy hounds.Our average day includes greeting 10-25 happy people and their pets, washing, drying and clipping these furbabies. Creating master pieces out of many of them. Toileting many of these pets and giving many a run in the park beside our salon. Delivering finished dog home. Helping with lots of free advise gained from many years in the pet industry. Finally returning to the salon to clean and disinfect and maintain equipment ready for the next day to begin.

Our clients return to Spunky Puppies because both them and their pet have had a great experience that was value for money and a step above the rest. Our Salon is Fresh Air conditioned and always well presented. Our Staff are happy and enjoy their job. We always listen to what our clients expect and do what we can to give this to them. The pets that we groom become part of our family. We take care to ensure all pets enjoy their visit to our salon and that it was not stressful. We always do our best to fit clients in when we can.
